~Just-a-Thought~

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace." Ecclesiates 3:1-8

My great uncle, Leo Edward Walsh, was Killed in Action on November 8, 1942 during Operation Torch which was the invasion of Nazi occupied North Africa. He was part of the 1st Armored Division of the United States Army.

I am sure there are so many people and facts we will never even know about. Amazing that Grandma’s brother was there on that day.

Great to see this. It is amazing to see how much we were involved in the war. I know Leo was the only boy out of the 6 or 7 children and he did not have to serve because of that. He wanted to serve this country. I will be honoring Leo as well as my husband this Memorial Day. God Bless our soldiers.

Many people serve their country for many different reasons. But the ones who die in their service to the country, do so in protecting all of our freedom and liberties. Don’t let the democrats make their sacrifices in vain.
